胡勇，男，1973年6月生，博士。1995年本科毕业于南京师范大学计算机科学系，获学士学位，2004年和2016年分别取得南京师范大学数学与计算机科学学院运筹学与控制论专业硕士学位和地理科学学院攻地图学与地理信息系统博士学位。现主要研究方向是基于几何代数的GIS理论和并行计算方法研究。近些年来，主持国家自然科学基金课题1项，厅局级课题2项，参与国家级课题5项。发表论文十余篇，并有7篇被SCI/EI检索，申请软件著作权1项。
